We live in a time where everyone has an opinion. Social media tells us who to blame. Podcasts tell us who's right. Algorithms keep feeding us more of what we already believe. Men are told one story. Women are told another. And somewhere along the way, we've become very good at explaining our struggles, but not always at understanding them.

What if some of the biggest limitations in our lives don’t come from our circumstances, but from the narratives we've accepted as truth?

What if some of the expectations we place on ourselves and others were never questioned?

What if the stories we repeat everyday are quietly shaping the decisions we make, the relationships we build, and the future we're creating?

This year's BFI’s International Women's Day Forum is an invitation to challenge assumptions - about ourselves, about each other, and about the world around us. Throughout the day, we'll explore the narratives we've inherited, the expectations we've normalised, the patterns that keep us stuck, and the choices that ultimately shape who we become.

Through live audience polling, honest conversations, and thought-provoking discussions, we'll examine questions that rarely have simple answers:

• Are our beliefs truly our own?

• Why do men and women often misunderstand each other?

• Are we reacting to reality, or to the stories we've created about reality?

• Do our choices reflect the standards we claim to have?

• What becomes possible when we replace assumptions with understanding?

This isn't about proving who's right. It's about becoming more aware. Because awareness leads to

better choices. Better choices lead to better conversations, and better conversations have the power to change cultures, workplaces, families, and futures.
