The food industry is a critical pillar of Brunei’s economic diversification strategy, yet it faces numerous challenges that limit its potential for growth and internationalization. This roundtable aims to provide a platform for stakeholders in Brunei’s food sector to discuss the challenges impeding business expansion, particularly focusing on domestic growth, export strategies and attracting foreign direct investment (FDI). This dialogue will explore actionable steps to foster a vibrant and competitive food industry that aligns with the Brunei Vision 2035 goal of creating an economy that is dynamic and sustainable.

The Roundtable is hosted by the Brunei Economic Development Board and supported by The National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam, the ASEAN and APEC Business Advisory Councils of Brunei and the BIMP-EAGA Business Council (BEBC Brunei) and forms part of an MSME Series aimed at strengthening key sectors of Brunei’s economy.
